VICRYL RAPIDE (polyglactin 910) Suture

Coated VICRYL RAPIDE Suture is a synthetic absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. VICRYL RAPIDE is intended for use in soft tissue approximation where only short-term wound support is required and where the rapid absorption of the suture would be beneficial.

Typical Use:

Indicated for:

• Soft tissue approximation where rapid absorption may be beneficial
• Skin closure, particularly in paediatric surgery
• Skin repairs where rapid absorption may be beneficial
• Episiotomy repair and mucosa in oral cavity
• Ophthalmic surgery for conjunctival sutures
• Lacerations under casts

Contraindicated for:

• Wound support/ligation >7 days
• High-stress skin areas and over joints
• Use in cardiovascular and neurological tissues
