PDS II (polydioxanone) Suture
PDS II is a sterile synthetic absorbable monofilament suture made from the polyester poly(p-dioxanone). It is intended for use in general soft tissue approximation, including paediatric CV tissue, microsurgery and ophthalmic surgery. It should not be used where prolonged (beyond six weeks) approximation is required, ie heart valves, synthetic grafts.

- Soft tissue approximation
- Fascia closure
- Blood vessel anastomoses
- Pediatric cardiovascular
- Orthopedic surgery
- Ophthalmic surgery
- Absorption allowing wound support for up to 6 weeks
Contraindicated for:
- Extended (>6 weeks) approximation of tissues under stress
- Conjunction with prosthetic devices (heart valves or synthetic grafts)
